Clarice Cliff Collectors Club Garden Party 2004
Sunday August 1st 2004 has been set for the Clarice Cliff Collectors Club & Chetwynd House Garden party. Lucky members who attended our 20th Anniversary event there still fondly recall it. It is a chance to see Chetwynd House with Professor Flavia Swann as your host and guide. Also guests will be served a delicious home-made buffet & fine wines. You can dress in '30's style' and enjoy an afternoon in Clarice & Colley's garden, which should be a blaze of colour in August.

Local musician Eric Clements will play 'Jazz Age' tunes. Guests will be able to meet some of Clarice's Bizarre 'girls' including Edna Cheetham who has rarely been able to get to our events as she lives in Cornwall.  Professor Swann will also be offering plants for sale from Clarice's garden.

It is the Clarice Cliff Collectors Club main event for 2004, and as numbers are limited we only offer it to club members with a random draw if oversubscribed.

Special Guest at CCCC Garden Party
We are delighted to announce that Edna Cheetham, a Clarice Cliff Bizarre girl from 1934 to 1939 has accepted an invitation to join guests at the CCCC Clarice Cliff Garden Party on 1st August 2004

The party (for members & guests only) is at Chetwynd House, courtesy of Professor Flavia Swann.

Designed by Parker & Unwin and built in 1899 the house is a remarkable Arts & Crafts building and as Clarice lived there from 1940 until her death in 1972 and it is an important part of the story of Bizarre

Edna Cheetham was a hand-paintress in the Bizarre shop, and also went on demonstrations in stores in the 1930's where she worked alongside Peggy Davies, who later became a famous modeller for Doulton.

Edna has only attended a few CCCC events as she lives in Cornwall, but is delighted to be joining us and looks forward to meeting members.
